Adachi’s BC (Page 1 of 2) |

Here are some pics of team driver Shinnosuke Adachi’s MR-4BC. I believe they were taken at the Yatabe Arena, where he took the 2002 Japanese championship from pole position. The Yatabe Arena is an indoor dirt track. What’s interesting about these photos are the modifications to the rear suspension - the camber link has been mounted on the top of the modified rear hub carrier, creating a longer, lower mounted link. The shock mounting position has also been moved further out. It would be interesting to see exactly how these modifications affect the cars handling. The changes are alluded to in the setup sheet (you’ll need Adobe’s Japanese Language Pack to view it) - it mentions 30mm as the height of the rear hub carrier. This website appears to belong to a Japanese car owner - it has some good detail pictures of the team-style modifications - Babelfish translation makes little sense, although the driver seemed to like the effects of the changes. Yokomo have released the front kingpin ballstud modification as ZS-007F, and rear hub carriers with the additional mounts are available as ZS-415R1L and R2L. |
